I WONDER

I wonder what the world is coming to
even when the sun is out
the sky it doesn't seem so blue

I wonder what we're thinking of
All the people sinking low
should be flying high above

Center of the world find me
take me to a place so far away
I've loosened all the chains that bind me
I just have a moment left
before I go away

I wonder what my life is all about
even when I think I know
I am not without a doubt

I wonder what will ever be
when the ones with all the dreams
find that we are still not free

I wonder will we stop ourselves in time
will we go on ignoring
every single warning sign

I wonder will we ever find a way
to make up all the payments
for all the debts of yesterday
