REFLECTIONS OF A DREAM

I passed out on the couch last night
couldn't even make it to bed
Dreams of a screaming audience
dancing around in my head

And when I awoke in the early morn
Just before the break of dawn
The standing ovation had faded away
and the audience was gone

It's like it never happened
but it all seemed so true
I was sitting on stage playing guitar
Singing my songs to you

Now I had a chance to view
the way that it could really be
I can't turn my head away
pretending that I just don't see

Got to set priorities
and always follow through
seeing all of the old ways
with the vision of the new

I've got to make it happen
do what I can do
Change the visions of the night
and make a dream come true

I've got to make it happen
Be what I can be
turn reflections of a dream
into reality
