WATCHING THE SUN FADE

I must say it's been a long day
sitting here watching the sun fade
Time's are rough people grow tough
but my life is one that I just wouldn't trade

I'm looking back now, wondering just how
I grew to be who I am
I've seen the changes, turning pages
back to where we began

Let's take a ride, side by side
we'll buy us a bicycle that's only built for two
head out of town, cruise around in the countryside
where the spring is all in bloom

Living right now, thinking just how
the love between us has grown
We've been together through the stormiest weather
soon the harvest will show

I have been a fool I know but there's things
I didn't understand before I met you
The years were hard to discard but I wanted you
inside my heart and I let you

The past behind me, you can find me
anytime that you try
If we let go more and try to show more
we can surely learn how to fly - high
