MOVING TO THE COUNTRY

It seems a shame this city life
is wearing me so thin
my little boy needs so much more
than I can offer him
I dream at night of countryside
and whispers in the trees
let's cash it in and pack it up
come on baby please

cause I can't take the pressure
of living like we do
when I know inside my head
what we could really do
if we just got away
from this old world run by thieves
who only give you discounts
with something up their sleeves

Moving to the country right away
don't believe there's much I've left to say
I can't take this city living another day
I'm on my way away

It's time to move on down the road
and find a simpler life
where all my days are not confined
by paying bills for light
I realize the hardships
but there's so much room to grow
sitting in the countryside
watching the river flow

Let's catch up on some sleep tonight out underneath the stars
where the cabins being built by a brain that comes from mars
hoping we can find a better way than what we know
I sold the house packed everything we own
it's time to go
