PATRIOT
BLUES
Here's a little
song about the President
If I'm not dead he ain't heard it yet
Cause I'm certain he will not agree
With my personal take on his policies
He's lying to me, he's lying to you
For all these years he's been singing the patriot blues
Take a close look
at 911
Another excuse to claim oil heaven
And write it off as American pride
With Cheney and the others right by his side
They all swore freedom was the headline news
They took ours and that's the patriot blues
War in Iraq counted
lives are lost
It would take a lifetime to count the cost
Funded by the taxpayers you and me
Nobody was asked if we agreed
When he took office the peace dove flew
Far away from him and the patriot blues
Checked at the
airports and on our phones
No matter what we do you won't leave us alone
Passports chipped so you know where we go
You want to take away our freedoms till there aren't any more
Speeches full of lies on the evening news
I'm sick and tired of your patriot blues
There's a litany
of treasonous acts
You used to justify attacking Iraq
Without a shred of evidence of WMD's
You trashed the country's foreign policy
Lining the pockets of the ones you choose
And terrorizing all the world with your patriot blues
I'm sick and tired of your patriot blues
