A good friend of mine is moving away

I'll never forget when we first met in the college dorm
You told me I could play the guitar
I guess I believed you
cause I ran right out and bought on
and I've playing ever since
but I ain't no rock and roll star

I've still got the cassette tapes we made at Coopers Store
I never will forget those times
Aspiring musicians just trying to find our way
As we moved on down the line

You might notice I'm still playing this old guitar
And together we've had some really great times
I guess I just keep on keeping on
