I'M GONNA MAKE IT

My needs are simple and my wishes are small
They're just so distant from my hole in the wall
I'm losing focus and I'm starting to fall
I hope there's something soft below to break it

I'm trying hard to keep perspective in sight
I work all day and I play all night
Now I'm waiting for the morning light
to greet the darkness and take it

I want to find a way to gain some control
of circumstances that are taking a toll
but in the end it is only my soul
and there's no way to shake it

These situations that I'm going through
will run their course whatever I do
the only difference is my attitude
