WAY OF THE WORLD

You gotta run you gotta hide
You gotta stand your ground from time to time
You gotta give you gotta take
Doing it right, making mistakes
You gotta win you gotta lose
Pay your time, pay your dues
Everybody says it's the way of the world

You gotta cheat, you gotta steal you gotta lie
To find that line that you can't cross
Let's see how deaf you are
to the inner voices talking on and on
You gotta know that what you do
Is always coming back to you
Everybody says it's the way of the world

Spinning round and round
Flying through this universe
Never know what's up or down
It might be a blessing or a curse
Everybody says it's the way of the world

You got a habit you gotta quit
You gotta tell yourself you're through with it
Gotta take a little time
Indulge yourself in all you find
You gotta hold on with all your might
You gotta let go when the time is right
Everybody says it's the way of the world
