TICKET TO HEAVEN

Heard it on the news last night
they're taking orders now
Sign up on the internet
for a ticket out of town
This won't be the journey
you always dreamt about
You just bought yourself
a ticket to Heaven

I don't know how much it costs
I declined to view that sight
The very implications
reason for my fright
They might as well just carry me
away into the night
With a souvenir
a ticket to Heaven

This circus act has crossed the borderline
Digging up the mountain for the mine
Thank God I sent my payment in on time
Now I've got my very own ticket to Heaven

You might think it sacrilege
a slap upon the cheek
Will you turn the other
one or fall prey to the weak
It's all in fun you know
build economy

Someday I'll cross that borderline
There will be no top story,
there will be no headline
And everyday I keep this thought in mind
