Sitting at the table with morning news
black coffee in my favorite cup
feeling low from a fatal blow
questioning the power of luck

since the guardian angels came to take you away

I never expected immortality

being alone so early in life
with a wife I can only miss

It's comforting to tell myself
your suffering is over
